The Credit‑Hour Training System was
established early in 1986. This system provides both an innovative approach and
opportunity for students to receive credit for a portion of the time they
normally spend training alone.
Credit hours may be earned Monday through Saturday
and applied to each individual's credit‑hour requirements as noted on the
following chart. Individual training managers will act as monitors during each
available time period.
Individual training managers (ITM's) must be
approved by Master. They are typically colored belt holders that volunteer to be
responsible for available time periods and they earn credit hours for the time
they volunteer, as well.
A new schedule will be posted each month. Approved
ITM's will then volunteer, or sign up for the periods, which are available. It
is their responsibility to note attendance, take phone messages and complete a
checklist and lock‑up procedure.
It is important for all colored belt holders to be
approved as an ITM and it is also important to volunteer for available time
periods.
